Snuggies are selling like hotcakes.

http://www.getsnuggie.com/

The Snuggie™ keeps you totally warm and gives you the freedom to use your hands. Work the remote, use your laptop or do some reading in total warmth and comfort!

Snuggie™ is made with super soft, thick, luxurious fleece with roomy, oversized sleeves that let you do what you want while still being totally wrapped in warmth.

A despondent America takes to the couch. I predict that sofa accessories will be the hot new trend - especially ones that have some money saving feature.

It also needs cup holders...lots and lots of cup holders.

The Slanket has already been tested in Maine - Slanket Parents Battle High Heating Bills (http://www.theslanket.com/index.php?path=news&month=092008#23)

The people in those pictures scare me; especially the one in pigtails and an Apricot Slanket. And isn't there some sort of law against talking on a cell phone while wearing Apricot Slankets?

More like a cult.

If you go to Slanket or Snuggie party, do you have to wear anything underneath? I mean, is your backside going to be exposed?

The protesters usually show up with front- and back-sides exposed, and carrying boards that say "I'd rather go naked than wear a snuggie/slanket."

Is there a belt around it so your behind doesn't stick out when you stand up??

I'll need a place to put; my pen, my remote, stash some goodies and a place to keep my nachos warm.

You could wear it backwards. But then it would just be...a bathrobe.

I think you could easily hide a baby under the snuggie, and nobody would know what you were doing under there. That might actually be one good use of the thing. At least it won't be falling off your shoulder while you're trying to nurse if you're concerned about modesty.

The traditionalists in the poncho camp are beside themselves over this issue, feeling sidelined. Word is, they are considering a flanking maneuver to garner media attention.

I was given one as a gift, and I now confess, I am a snuggie addict. Its long enough to wrap around my feet, and the sleeves are long enough to keep my hands warm.

But a warning, don't run to answer the phone with your snuggie on. You will trip and fall. On the up side, I have found a new use for my antique kilt pins, they are now snuggie pins! Used of course to pin the snuggie up while running to the phone.

Note... Evo my not use the snuggie pin, or in fact she should never own a snuggie.

A gas mask bra? How did that ever wind up on the worst invention list?

And I don't see what's wrong with Snuggies for dogs, either. It makes sense, especially in the winter when the poor dog is trying to run through deep snow.

By the way, the two in the dark red snuggy are really short. In fact, I think they're Siamese twins (except probably fraternal Siamese twins since they don't look identical). I think that points out another good point of snuggies. Midgets can buy them and not look like they're wearing little kids' clothes.

There's a new product made for adults to wear while they watch TV - it's a onesie for adults.

My animals have bonded with my Snuggie also. Has anyone mentions that it is also a animal hair magnet? No need for special brooms and vacuum's, just accidentally drop the Snuggie on the floor and the job is done.

I went to a big and tall store, and asked for their largest and softest robe. Now I have a 9x (there was a 10x, but I'm not tall enough) that I can wear AND wrap around my sweetie. So... there's an upside to some people being morbidly obese I guess?
