Hey, I was wondering if anybody knew a more intuitive, less axiomatic book that one could use as a companion text to the "green\papa" rudin? (Real and Complex Analysis).

I am finding that it is possible to learn measure theory from this book, but it takes a lot of time and rigor. It might be a nice exercise to build some rigor, but I am a little more rushed right now and would love a simplier companion book to get the pre-packaged insight.

Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

The Elements of Integration and Lebesgue Measure (http://www.amazon.com/Elements-Integration-Lebesgue-Measure/dp/0471042226/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1252346585&sr=8-8) by Robert Bartle is a very good book on the subject. It is short and sweet, but is fairly expensive. It is a focused book on integration and measure, and it isn't a comprehensive analysis book.
