A rocket is launched straight up with constant acceleration. Four seconds after liftoff, a bolt falls off the side of the rocket. The bolt hits the ground 6.40 s later.
What is the rocket's acceleration?
What have you done so far on the problem?

Assume the accln. to be something. then you have the bolt's velocity when it falls, it's acceleration which is just 'g' and the time taken by it to fall.
it's just a play of equations now.
