After 18 months of intensive (http://www.scaperoute.com/savefarscape/onlinekit/multimedia/mmmain.html) fan (http://www.savefarscape.com/) efforts (http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/SAVE_FARSCAPE/), Sci-Fi Channel (http://scifi.com/) is finally bringing back Farscape (http://www.scifi.com/farscape/) in a 4 hour miniseries starting Sunday at 9PM EST. Director Brian Henson comments, "This special television event would not be a reality were it not for the tireless, unwavering efforts of the Farscape fans to bring the series back." He has also stated (http://www.scifi.com/transcripts/2004/bhenson4.22.html) that "the future of Farscape depends a lot" on the success of the miniseries. Even if you've never seen an episode, Henson says "new audiences should be able to follow this." Watch the trailer here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/farscape/).
Probably the best reason to watch this is to get the SciFi channel to stop wasting their money on sub-B "original" movies they're constantly spewing out (the classic Pythons 2, or the masterpiece Avalanche: Unleashed) and start spending it on what works.
