Kalman filtering

I am working on developing an altimeter for hobby rocketry applications. The altimeter needs to be able to detect the rocket's apogee very accurately as it occurs (it will be using a pressure sensor to determine the altitude) the data from the pressure sensor will, however, have noise in it, thats where the kalman filtering comes in. i've found a few websites that talk about some general techniques of using kalman filtering but i have been having trouble finding how to use it in my application. any help that anyone might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.
