Im feeling stupid today.
{\sqrt{3}x = x + {\sqrt{3}}
The x is not (square rooted)
Can somebody please throw me in the right direction ??

Collect your x terms to one side, factor out the x. You should be able to take it from there.
\sqrt{3} x - x = \sqrt {3}
then take x as a common factor
