1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
What is the approximate molal concentration of the solute pure ether? Kb is 2.02, normal boiling point is 37 degrees Celsius.
2. Relevant equations
ΔTb= Kb * m
ΔTb is the change in boiling point temp.
Kb for ether is 2.02
m is the molal concentration which im trying to find.
37 celsius is the normal boiling point
3. The attempt at a solution
ΔTb/Kb = m
i tried 37 degrees divided by (Kb value 2.02), and i also tried 137/2.02 -> i added 100 degrees because the boiling point elevation thing. Both answers were wrong
