Anyway a while back I saw one for a windows XP file folder. I couldn't find it though, I guess the EBAY search doesn't search under old auctions but it was like "for sale is a windows xp file folder. With this file folder you can store volumes of computer data, up to the amount of free space on your hard drive. Plus you can rename this folder to anything you like by pressing F2 on your keyboard."

The state of Washington issued a citizen an anti-George Bush license plate on accident, only to send a letter to the owner telling him it's use has been revoked (his plate read "F DUBYA"). So what does he do? Sell the license plate on eBay of course! The opening bid was $5,000.

Most every state retains the right to refuse plates that are offensive, abusive, vulgar,...or anything that's "not decent".

Ebay doesn't allow the sale of valid license plates that are less than 5 yrs old.

Oh, I see it now! Merlin's jump rope forms the emu shape. Cool! And to think the seller only saw the Virgin Mary in it when it's such a complex piece of grilled cheese art. Wow, the buyer of it really got a bargain. Well, at least now that woman has the money to buy herself a better frying pan since the one she has must be pretty warped to burn all the outside edges of the bread and leave the center uncooked like that.

you could pay a guy (buy it now price- 99p) and he would stamp and address a piece of toast (just on its own. no envelope or anything) and send it to you. Most pieces got there ok.

You'd be surprised what you can send in the post. I once wrote an address on the side of a lemon, sellotaped a stamp to it and sent it first class to my friend. He got it no problem, though was rather bemused about who had sent him a lemon and why.

One of the folks in our department had fun on a trip to Hawaii mailing coconuts to people. Same concept, just write the address on the coconut shell, stick enough postage to it, and away it goes. There was some "girly" suggestion I read once about sending baby shower invitations in baby bottles. Just affix the address label to the outside of the baby bottle and roll up the invite inside it and ship the bottle. It just amazes me that people actually bid on these things.

I thought it was pretty futile too. I mean why would I pay 99p to send someone toast when I could pay a fraction of a penny for a slice of bread, 20-odd p for a stamp and do it myself. Its still on my to do list actually... I'm just not sure who to send it to.

I find it's useful just to get rid of stuff, rather than sell to make a profit.

even just to get rid of stuff, it's hard...i can put decent stuff on there for less then a buck and still nothing.

I don't have a link but a woman sold her husband's hotted up sports car for $1. It was listed as a buy it now, and the description said that they had to be able to pick it up within the next few hours. She had found out he was cheating on her, and so she needed it gone by the time he got home. The car was in her name and everything (probably for tax reasons or something).
