View Full Version : The bold acronym game

This is how it works:

One person writes a sentance, and bolds one word. The next person has to write a sentance, using that word as an acronym. for instance:

Hello, my name is yomamma!

No Apples, Make Entrées

see? try to make your sentance make sense.

I'll start off:

This is the first sentance of the game

Shouldn't the acronym be directly substitutible for the word? (that's what an acronym is, isn't it?)

eg. Moose's sentence is now 'This is the (Fall Into Roman Snakes Trehugger!) sentance of the game.'

Seems to me, it would behoove Moose (ahah) to make his Acronym an adjective, like the word he was given: 'first'.

For example: First= Friendly, Internally-Ruled Spruce Treelike

So, now our sentence is:
'This is the (Friendly, Internally-Ruled Spruce Treelike) sentence of the game.'

While the sentence would semantically be jabberwocky, it would still be grammatically correct.

More clever, IMO.

Thanks selfAdjoint.

Even now that humble users scarecly try, its all stupid, typing incomprehensibly always looks like yomamma.

While the sentence would semantically be jabberwocky, it would still be grammatically correct.

Astonishing! Is this a hack?

The word in the above sentence was typed as - and continues to display in edit-mode as = "jabberwocky".

jabberwocky! "jabberwocky!"

J-A-B-B-E-R-W-O-C_K-Y.

I swear, the word I am typing and editing is J-A-B-B-E-R-W-O-C_K-Y.- in all of the above cases.

Well, JavaScript is a scripting language used on HTML pages, but what I don't understand is why I am incapable of displaying the word jabberwocky (J-A-B-B-E-R-W-O-C_K-Y) in this forum.

Dibs! I found it, I am laying claim to any Easter Egg prize!

J abberwocky is a poem, and if you haven't heard of it, you're stupid.

I tried typing jabber-wocky before, it turned into javascript:

jabberwocky
