    Oooh, that's a dirty question. It is true if you have finitely many f_n. But as soon as you have infinitely many f_n, it becomes false. If you've seen something about pointswize convergence, then this question is similar: pointswize limits don't need to be continuous.

    A counterexample: f_n(x)=-x^n on [0,1].
