    Hey, i have a little trouble proving that √2 + √3 is irrational.

    I started by assuming that √2 + √3 = r (r is any rational number)
    (√2 + √3)^2 = r^2
    (5+2√6) = r^2
    √6 = r^2-5/2

    I have done all these steps but the rest just seems so vague for me. Can you please assist me with this as soon as possible. Thanks
