If you're trying to stop people under the age of 18 from thinking about sex, you're basically fighting a battle against nature itself, and that's a battle humans can't possibly win.

Let me rephrase that.
Kids shouldn't be contemplating having sex. Of course they're going to think about it. If a parent is going to have healthy discussions about sex, then they need to think about those discussions. Hopefully, as you expressed, those discussions and impressions will be positive, though realistic and informed.
