Reduced to Quadrature
What exactly does that term mean? I thought it meant getting some quantity in the form of an integral, but I can't be sure.

Yes! Quadrature is synonomous with integration.

Reduced to Quadrature
It generally means numeric integration, used for cases where closed-form solutions may be hard to find.
