Leah
I'm trying to figure out a picture that I have that has a black kid in bed with white comforter and pillows. On the back it says it was given to someone in my family in 1919, then it was given to someone else in 1964. I looked on the internet and it seems to be a book by Thomas Hardy, but I don't see anything about pictures. "Far from the Madding Crowd, a Little Study in black and white". That is what it says on the back of the picture. Could this picture be worth something?

I googled the phrase you said was on the back. Found this auction site

http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/3379542

The site gives the estimated value to be between $50 and $100, but I don't know if that's a good estimate.

It's a very nice picture.

I have the same original print in a similar oak frame. I'd like to know it's value. Any ideas?
