SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the meeting schedules of five cultural groups—literary, dramatic, musical, dancing, and painting—starting from January 1, 1975. Each group meets at different intervals: the literary group every 2 days, the dramatic group every 3 days, the musical group every 4 days, the dancing group every 5 days, and the painting group every 6 days. All five groups met on March 2, 1975, and there were 24 days in the first quarter of 1975 when none of the groups met, excluding New Year's Day.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of scheduling and intervals
  • Basic knowledge of calendar calculations
  • Familiarity with non-leap year specifics
  • Ability to work with multiples and divisibility
NEXT STEPS
  • Research methods for calculating meeting schedules based on intervals
  • Learn about non-leap year calendar implications
  • Explore mathematical concepts of multiples and divisibility
  • Investigate scheduling algorithms for group meetings
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for mathematicians, event planners, and anyone interested in scheduling theory and calendar calculations.

My club has five cultural groups. They are literary, dramatic, musical, dancing and painting groups. The literary group meets every other day, the dramatic every third day, the musical every fourth day, the dancing every fifth day and painting every sixth day. The five groups met on the new years day of 1975 and starting from that day they met regularly according to schedule.
Now, can you tell how many times did all five meet on one and the same day in the first quarter? The new years day excluded.
Also, were there any days when none of the groups met in the first quarter, and how many?

well 1975 is not a leap year and some more things abt multiples solves a lot of headaches ... boy i am too tired right now to do any calculations ... :/

there was one day in which they all met on March 2, 1975.

Including Jan. 2, 1975; there were 24 days in which no group met.

If I understood the question correctly.
