Linear dynamo - how to

Hi,

I am currently working on a project for university,

The initial idea I had was to use piezoelectric materials but it is too expensive, so I am going to try and change the way the system works, but in order to do it, I need to create a linear dynamo,

Could anyone tell me if it is possible and if so give me a starting point?

Thank you in advance,

Les

Perhaps you could tell us what you want the linear dynamo to do. Do you mean a linear motor like a maglev train? If so, I would suggest you read up on the maglev train.
