It's a happy day Today is pi approximation day.
The date, written in day/month format, is 22/7. I doubt the celebration will be quite as extravagant as the pi day of 1592 March 14, 1592 at 6:53:58 (3/14/1592 6:53:58) touched off one the great celebrations in man's history. I think everyone drank so much that they even forgot they had celebrated in the first place.

How about when it was 1:23:45 on 6789? Yes, that actually made the newspaper in my town, and IIRC, it might even have been on the television newscasts that evening.
... only then it didn't seem so special the following year when it was 12:34:56 on 7890.
