Voltage Multiplier Circuit Design
I have theoretical experience but not any hands on. I have worked with high voltage power supplies but not with AC mains. My actual goal is to take a neon sign transformer which gives me 9500 V and put it through my multiplier to get close to 40,000 V dc to power a vacuum tube.- a15m

Voltage Multiplier Circuit Design
If you google voltage multiplier circuit that is the circuit that comes up. You can check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltage_multiplier The equation I don't remember what source but it was from a google search also. Do you have any suggestions if I am inputting ac to multiply...- a15m

Voltage Multiplier Circuit Design
I have made a 3 stage voltage multiplier. My input is from the outlet so 120 V ac. I measure my output from the first and last capacitors of the bottom row as shown in the image. The output I am getting is 120 V dc. From the equation Vout(dc) = Vin(ac)*sqrt(2)*number of stages. With this...- a15m

Should I pursue Medical Physics?
Also it says for here in Texas that board certification is not required, I'm guessing that is to obtain a license.- a15m

Should I pursue Medical Physics?
I live in Texas so it is necessary to be licensed, could you then find a job if you are licensed(if the state requires it) but not board certified? If so would you still need to do residency or just start working after obtaining degree?- a15m

Should I pursue Medical Physics?
Thanks for your post. Also do you know what are the chances of getting into a residency program with a MS compared to someone who has a PhD. I have read, don't know if it true, that more residency programs are accepting(or prefer) more PhD students than MS. Although I have seen that MS is...- a15m

Should I pursue Medical Physics?
I am at an ABET accredited school studying Radiological Health Engineering(Nuclear) and I was thinking of applying to grad school for a MS in Medical Physics. I have read that in 2014 to become certified you will have had to complete residency and getting into those CAMPEP programs is VERY...- a15m
