i have 4 blocks of Astronomy and astrophysics in my course. Each block has 4 units ,so a total of 16 units/chapters.I am through with the first block and came across observational astronomy,types of telescopes,absolute/apparent modulus,virial theorem..A good reference textbook is what i need...

Q)Different eigenvectors corresponding to an eigenvalue of a matrix must be linearly dependant? Is the above statement true or false.Give reasons.

I have enrolled for a distance learning progaramme from IGNOU(big mistake!).There is a paper on linear algebra.The university gives a study material which i find boring. i recently bought Gilbert Strang's linear algebra book. Any other good sources online?

i have ordered introduction to linear algebra by gilbert strang.But i saw it on google books and found it to be touching only the basics.Can anyone recommend anymore books?
