Probability of Same Number of Heads and 3/5 Outcomes in 10 Flips and 15 Rolls
Homework Statement You have a fair coin. Your friend has a fair die you flip your coin 10 times. Your friend rolls his die 15 times. What is the probability that you get "heads" exactly the same number of times your friend gets "3" or "5". Leave your answer in the form of a summation. No need...- aeubz

Probability Theory ; Binomial Distribution?
Ok so the reason nC1 should not be there is because we only care about the n trial. Right? Still a bit confused about the Expected.. If X is geometric with probability p then E(X) = 1/p = 2 and E(Y) = 3? And e) is P(x=y)= sum(n=1 to +oo) 1/6(1/3)^(n-1) = 1/4 f) is still bothering me a little..- aeubz

Probability Theory ; Binomial Distribution?
Homework Statement Now you and your fiend play a different game. You flip your coin until it comes up heads the first time. Let X denote the number of flips needed. Your friend rolls its die until it comes up "3" or "5". The first try let Y denote the number of rolls needed. Assume X and Y are...- aeubz
