Eternal Universe - What Do You Think?

Science, bye-in-large is saying "finite". Philosophy and Religion, bye-in-large are saying "eternal". I would say it is presently finite, but it can be made to be eternal, if we and our descendents can combine competence with commitment and "make it so". aguy2

Matter vs Anti-Matter: Why Did Matter Dominate Universe?

I have been contending that the visible universe seems to be acting more like an anitropic 'pulse/jet', than an isotropic expansion. If this is the case, it would probably mean that the pre-inflationary BB event/body had displayed a high degree of angular momentum, which is entirely within...

Alternative theories about the origin of the universe

Does anyone know if questions are being asked about a possible source of the conserved angular momentum in the universe? aguy2

Matter vs Anti-Matter: Why Did Matter Dominate Universe?

Apparently the new CP violation data is adding to the mystery of the matter-anti-matter imbalance of the visible universe, not solving the problem. If someone were to give me decent odds, I would still bet on an anti-matter sister universe. aguy2

Alternative theories about the origin of the universe

I would agree with you completely, but nonetheless what has become the standard cosmological model has a lot of 'problems' that, to this very interest amateur, seem to be getting worse not better. It would seem to me that there should be an alternative to 'istropic, homogenuos expansion'. aguy2

Tried to understand how we/ our universe came to be

Modeling can be physical to. The animation of figure 3 is an example. The experiment had nothing to do with cosmology, but you can almost see the dipole/octipole perfered direction and other 'pole' sites suggested by the WMAP3 data. http://www.physics.nmt.edu/~dynamo/PJRX/Results.html aguy2

Matter vs Anti-Matter: Why Did Matter Dominate Universe?

Do think there would be any possibility that 'matter' might have similar 'decay problems' if it existed an 'anti-matter' dominanted sub-universe? aguy2

Tried to understand how we/ our universe came to be

Are you questioning specific models, or modeling per se? aguy2

What is the logical setup that determines the epoch of the CMB?

Sorry about the late response. I have found a site that although it was not ment as a cosmological model of a possible pulse/jet condition, if you place our streaming galactic cluster a little left of center, you might see a developing structure that has a eerie resemblance to a possible...

Is Self Creation Cosmology a Viable Alternative to the Standard Model?

My thanks to Garth, SpaceTiger, et al for all the good links. Although this is more philosophy than science you might want to check out: www.self-creation.net[/url] and for a non-professional's 2003 prediction concerning WMAP3 data you might want to check out...

What are the latest exciting results from WMAP's three-year data release?

If you would look at the animation of figure 3 at: http://www.physics.nmt.edu/~dynamo/PJRX/Results.html and tried to see it as a possible crude representation of the current cosmological situation, while seeing our streaming galactic cluster somewhat left of center, I think you could see...

What is the logical setup that determines the epoch of the CMB?

Thank you for the site. Maybe I should have asked about "cosmological, fluid dynamics theorists", other than me. I have an agenda, but I am certainly not trying to keep it hidden. I am putting forward a model that sees the all-matter, observable, visible universe as a "polar pulse/jet"...

What is the logical setup that determines the epoch of the CMB?

Chronos, I am very interested in the subject of 'fluid mechanics' in regards to cosmological problems. I have more than a sneaky hunch the visible universe is acting as if it were an 'ideal liquid' pulse/jet that has transited from a laminar to a turbulent condition due to lose of momentum...

Matter vs Anti-Matter: Why Did Matter Dominate Universe?

I would say they most likely where, and their all but total self-annihilation powered the inflationary era; which took the form of 2 mass ejections or pulses from the north and south poles of a BB event/body that displayed a high degree of angular momentum. One of the polar pulses contained a...
