Schools Undergrad/Grad school questions
I'm currently a math major (just beginning; minoring in physics) and I've been looking into different grad schools...trying to make sure I'm prepared when it comes time to apply. I'm not sure if I want to go to grad school for math or physics. So, here are my questions: For math, I know...- AkGirl

Science Requirement - class choice
If looking solely at chemistry - which would be better: Chem 104 - Intro to biochem Chem 105 - General chem Either class is an option (I'm in Chem 103 right now...Essentials of General and Organic Chem - a really basic, beginner course).- AkGirl

Programs Language Requirement for my degree
Wow! All great info! Thank you so much! I've had my heart set on graduate school for quite a long while... It's taken a few years to just get to the point of starting undergrad - harder getting to a point where going back to school is fiscally possible in 30's. I find both Russian and...- AkGirl

Science Requirement - class choice
I'm doing well in the chemistry class...just find it very dull. Astronomy would be interesting/fun. Yes, it would be a lot more work to switch...not to mention the cost! That's why I'm hesitant...- AkGirl

Science Requirement - class choice
For the degree I'm working towards (B.S. Math, minor Physics) I have to take 2 semesters of 2 different sciences. Obviously, physics will cover one of the sciences... I'm currently taking a chemistry class. I'm not finding it very interesting. Should I just go ahead and do a second...- AkGirl

Hello, I've just begun working towards a B.S. in Math, minor in Physics. I'm looking over all of the degree requirements and I have to take a 2 semester sequence of a language. Of these choices, what would be most beneficial? ~ German ~ Russian ~ Spanish Thanks so much!- AkGirl

Is It Too Late to Start a Career in Physics at 32?
More questions... ~ One of my math professors very strongly recommended taking "Intro to Logic" (philosophy class) if planning to major in math or science. Is anyone familiar with this idea? I'm wondering if it would be worth the time/tuition/books? (I've already completed that portion of...- AkGirl

Is It Too Late to Start a Career in Physics at 32?
Cool! I didn't even realize they were going to be offering that class! Thanks for letting me know! As physics will be a minor I get fairly free choice as to which upper division classes to take to fulfill the credit requirements. I will *definitely* put that one on the list! Is...- AkGirl

Is It Too Late to Start a Career in Physics at 32?
Thank you for the encouragement! Let's see if I can answer a few of the questions/points here... Just did Algebra I, II, and III...like I said, my high school education was lacking *and* quite a while ago. I decided to start at the beginning. I did very good in the classes and...- AkGirl

Is It Too Late to Start a Career in Physics at 32?
Hello All...I'm new to the forums here. I'm really needing some advice/input on where to go with my education. I'm 32 and just started back to school last fall. (I was in aviation from 19-29, then misc jobs 29-30). I've always wanted a bachelors and have been fascinated with science, but...- AkGirl
