High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
I agree wholeheartedly. I just thought that when a group of people, who are studying the exact same thing, would have an agreed upon and accepted definition of the very thing that they study, and/or look at. I, however, have been finding the exact opposite is true in many disciplines. Okay...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
Okay. But, if one considers that a theory of everything would help them, then I suggest a measurement of some sort in regards to all existing matter, space, and energy considered as a whole is needed. After all a theory of 'everything' could be considered insufficient without a measurement of...- Amazed

I am not allowed to present that here as my idea has not yet been peer-reviewed. However, if I was first granted written permission to, then I will.- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
I am more fascinated about how children can know the meaning of words without being directly taught what they mean. What is even more fascinating is that some of those children get older believing that they knew the underlying concepts of numbers and symbols before they ever understood the...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
This attitude helps in showing and explaining why human beings in the 21st century still have not yet been able to form a unified theory of everything. They tended to work against each other instead with each other. A lot learned that being ahead or separated from others and 'winning' a...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
I agree wholeheartedly. If the science taught in schools was expressed in a much more entertaining, clear, and distinct manner, and explains these things you referred to here in a much more succinct way, then there would not be so many complete idiots like me who end up just trying to learn how...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
So, to you 'matter', itself, is a philosophical category. Which I find amazing to be a view and perspective within a physics forum. Considering that it could be said and argued that physics is solely in regards to 'matter', and literally coming to understand the physical world of 'matter'...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
An adult has to understand what meaning is first before it can learn how the Universe works and what the Universe is made up of and made by. Understanding meaning comes from learning words first. For example to understand the meaning of 'e=mc2' an adult and a child has to first learn and...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
It is not surprising how often people end up disagreeing, bickering, and even fighting over things like different interpretations, in things like physics, instead of just discussing and agreeing upon the words being used in language- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
As long as there is a realisation that your theories are not completely correct, then all is well and good. Words are used in theories, and words are denoted by symbols. Every symbol in equations is known and understood by words alone. So, if, and when, we just find the correct and right...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
Thank you profusely for answering the question. So, if there is a lot of 'stuff' that is not made up by any of 'that', then what is 'that stuff', then what are they made up by? So, one just decides what is matter and what is not, depending on what they are 'doing', correct? I thought in a...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
If there is still no one single definition of 'particle' in physics, then what is 'it' that people who do physics look at, discuss, and talk about, exactly? Uncovering this answer will help tremendously in the formation of the two very big theories. Yes. If the claims following my 'surely'...- Amazed

High School Is there anything in the Universe that is not fundamentally made up of matter?
Why is there not a concept about 'All existing matter, space, energy considered as a whole', which plays any role in your actual physical theories? How are you meant to , study, observe, and measure the whole when you have not yet even arrived at a concept of it? Is this a rhetorical...- Amazed

Did you write that paper? If no, then I am still more interested in how you define a 'particle' at the most fundamental level. I note that you did not respond to what I said in response to your claim about particles being excited states of an underlying physical field, if the physical field...- Amazed

I am supposedly still way too vague in regards to 'what', exactly? How do you define the word 'thing'? I have already provided my definition. Is your definition more specific and provides more clarity? Are any of those things that you listed not fundamentally made up of nor created by matter?- Amazed
