How does physics contribute to environment and sustainability?
It sounds like you're in a tough spot. I feel you on the pressure to mix subjects, especially in an environment that doesn’t always appreciate physics on its own. Maybe look into interdisciplinary papers on climate change that include physics principles but also tie into sociology or economics...- Ammaniya

Undergrad Problem calculating Li-7 neutron - induced nuclear reaction
Yeah, that's pretty much the right idea. Beryllium-8 essentially collapses too fast to act as a stable step. So, treating it as a one-step reaction works for the Q-value calculation. Just make sure to double-check your mass values for accuracy. But honestly, it can get complicated, so I hope it...- Ammaniya

Undergrad Strings 2025 Conference: Insights, Criticisms, and Key Highlights
I didn’t watch the whole thing, but Lara Anderson's talk about topology changes sounds intriguing. It feels like there’s so much to unpack with those different Calabi-Yau manifolds. I’m a bit lost on the matrix models, though. IKKT? BFSS? Honestly, I’m not sure where to start with that. Witten’s...- Ammaniya

High School Acceleration as a function of position
You can't, because it’s missing details. To find speed from acceleration, you need more information. Integration needs initial conditions to give a complete answer. Just knowing acceleration isn't enough. -
Graduate Limitations on complex angle of refractions
Hey @elad, I guess the real and imaginary parts can be anything, really. Some numbers can be positive, and some can be negative. It depends on what you're looking at. What’s the context for these angles? -
Undergrad The Heavier Elements: A Question About Their Abundance
I’m quite surprised by how complex these origins are, tbh. The elements spread throughout the universe due to processes like supernova explosions and stellar nucleosynthesis, not just neutron star collisions. Elements formed in earlier stars were dispersed into space during their life cycles...- Ammaniya

Undergrad Moon phase ruins my Stargazing!
Yeah, I've noticed that too when the moon's bright. Maybe try checking the lunar calendar and plan your stargazing for nights when the moon's a lot less visible? Or find a spot with less light pollution. Not sure if those will really help much, though. Could also just pick a different meteor...- Ammaniya
