Schools What college classes cover hypercubes and topology?

Hhmm, I don't remember doing hyper-stuff in Calc 3, its been awhile since I took it. Ill have to look around for that book and see if anything is inside that is of value. All of these classes sound like high 300-400 level math classes, so unfortunately I wouldn't ever be able to take unless I...

Math/Physics Tattoo Idea Request - Warren

I am seriously considering a tesseract. I love this one. I would like to get it in a smaller version and on the inside of my bicep.

Schools What college classes cover hypercubes and topology?

Have been reading up on tesseracts lately and I was wondering what class in college if any include the learning of these. Was thinking it would be a physics class of some sort but at the same time it could be a math class too.

    How/Where does matter spontaneously materialize?

I find it hypocritical when scientists bash on the existence of a god. Has anyone here read Plato's Allegory of the Cave? Whose to say neither party is correct? I am not arguing for or against anything just expressing my point of view. =)

The best elementary book to study Particle physics

Particle physics also interests me. The Griffith book looks really good, but I am not sure whether I am ready for it or not. I am an undergrad and have only taken mechanics, E&M, and some optic/relativity. Are there any "pre-req" books I should read before this one?

Relativity Books: Advanced Reads for Engineering Student

Hi all, I am an engineering student that happened to buy a book by Brian Cox called "Why does e=mc^2". Well, after reading it I now have the desire to get my minor in physics. My question for you all is, this book I read was a very beginners guide to relativity, are there any books you would...

Traveling at the Speed of Light

So put simply, as you move faster, your mass becomes bigger? Why is that?

Traveling at the Speed of Light

In A brief History of Time, Hawking says that it is impossible for us to go the speed of light because if we were able to go that speed our mass would be infinite...or something like that. Is it really just as simple as that? Or was there something I misunderstood? Sorry if it is a dumb...
