Electric Potential by Integrating Poisson's Equation
Hi I need some help with understanding like i have this poisson's equation from which i have to determine the potential by integrating ofcourse using the boundary condition phi=0 at x=plus or minus L/2 and that differentiation of phi with x is zero at x=0. I see that they have arrived at the...- appsci

Producing VO2 Thin Films Using Reactive Ion Sputtering: A Troubleshooting Guide
In amorphous film, the crystals are oriented randomly whereas in crystalline material, its highly periodic which is required for constructive interference to take place. You might have known of superposition of waves. When two waves are in phase, we get the resultant wave as the algebraic sum of...- appsci

Producing VO2 Thin Films Using Reactive Ion Sputtering: A Troubleshooting Guide
If the film is amorphous on Si too, how can we see the film with XRD except the crystalline peaks of Si that you see. I would suggest to check up with Raman spectroscopy which will show you the amorphous film.- appsci

How Do I Set Up a Lock-In Amplifier for Third Harmonic Voltage Measurement?
I need a help with lock in amplifier. I want to measure third-harmonic voltage from lock in amplifier. I have metal liner on a film on the substrate and I pass ac current through this metal liner which acts both as a heater and a thermometer. I want to calculate the third harmonic voltage from...- appsci

Which Industries Value Thin Film Technology Expertise?
Thanks. Well my project has more industrial partners so obviously my work suits current applications but as far as coating only my lab is involved. I want to get clear picture in my mind about industries who might be interested. I mean I want some list and so it would be a motivation factor.- appsci

Which Industries Value Thin Film Technology Expertise?
Hi, I did Masters in Materials science and presently about to complete PhD in materials technology, to be more specific, thinfilm technology. I prefer working in Industry after this. Could you let me know the possibilities and any industries of interest? Do I have more choice? :(- appsci
