I am doubting that any plane wave is generated from a spherical wave. At large distance the radii of curvature becomes so large that we can think it as plane. Like we se Earth surface as plane though it is spherical. Is it true? I have a mathematical proof for my argument!
After thoroughly reading a topic, when I know I almost understand this, I stutter in giving Viva in front of my teachers! It's not that they ask too hard questions problem is either I can not get what answer they want or they can not understand what I try to say! Sometimes they ask so easy...
Little confusion regarding one line on Resnick's book! This says light dragged by refractive medium ok but how 'by the ether'? In the rest of the topic he says ether is stationary with respect to the observer(i.e. not dragged along by the water and that is how the Fresnel's exp. was explained).
In the picture the question marked spot is confusing me. Should the MI be calculated in this ugly way? That we do not consider the points in between and on dx! Why only x is taken as the distance? You may say take x+dx, resulting dx in the exapnsion and the dx from the mass to square and being...
From Wien's law it is seen that approx 6500K(Greater than sun's temp) needed to heat a body to blue! But we see so much blue light(uv ray)! Are they formed from any different mechanism rather than heating?
Firstly I would like to go in more details how all the oscillations cancels out? I think oscillation occurs but the radiation emitted by one of them must be canceled out by another particle's radiation, if we take light to be wave! Now in answer to Delta, should I assume every radiation to be...
