How can I isolate beta in this trigonometric equation?
Homework Statement i want to find the beta of this equation. i mean beta in one side and all other things next side. it is ok even if you provide the final answer without calculations. Homework Equations -2R*sin(\beta/2)*cos(K-\beta/2)/sin(K+\beta)=d The Attempt at a Solution- asanka000

How to find the resultant of 3d vector?
i have a vector ai+bj+ck is the resultant equal to sqrt(a^2+b^2+c^2). if so how do i explain it mathematically? i know the resultant of a 2d vector is equal to sqrt(a^2+b^2) and it can be proved from pythagoras theorem? any ideas??- asanka000

Find the constant unknown angle of triangles series
http://a.imageshack.us/img715/8526/paint2.jpg there are 2 triangles. in these triangles r1,a,theta1 r2,a,theta2 are given. x1 and x2 are unknown. also the angle k is same for both triangles. i need to find this k. also i have data to draw series of tingles like these 2(i know r3,theta3,a...- asanka000
