What Is the Collision Time for Stars in Andromeda and Milky Way?
i figure the number of particles is 4 per (3.1*10^18)^2. and no, i don't expect there to be a collision with the sun and another star. that's one of the reasons i posted this question. it seems almost absurd. but it's a homework problem nonetheless. any help is appreciated.- AUK 1138

What Is the Collision Time for Stars in Andromeda and Milky Way?
Homework Statement The problem is assume Andromeda and the Milky Way are going to collide. the relative speed of them moving is 10^6m/s. assume each star has the radius of our sun (6.955*10^8m) the distance between each star is 3.1*10^18 m. how long will it take for a star to collide with...- AUK 1138

What Are the Best Sites for Dream Interpretation?
have you considered the possibility that they are smarter than you? If i remember my dreams i tend to be able to recount most details for a good amount of time.- AUK 1138

What Are the Best Sites for Dream Interpretation?
you really can't interpret your dreams very well. there are "common" meanings for some things but they fail to take into account all the other things going on, so it's basically a moot point. basically, if i could let go of an apple and have it not drop and said it was because it experienced...- AUK 1138

High School Do stars actually exist beyond our solar system?
incorrect. every time you look at a planet in our solar system or the moon you are seeing light from the sun that has reflected off that body. hence, a less direct route was taken.- AUK 1138

What's the male/female ratio in astrophysics?
lol all I'm saying is that the higher level math and/or physics classes usually have very few women taking them. I don't know the reason for it, just that it happens.- AUK 1138

Can you be a good engineer and at the same time abe a human?
maybe physicists are more weird, but i seem to get along fine in my physics classes. it's the engineers who i think are the real awkward ones. they refuse to talk. TALK!- AUK 1138
