Assuming the cross-section is constant, the level of water can be said to be directly proportional to the volume of water + volume of water displaced due to the solid object. Graduate Standard Benchmark Problem for Computational Solution of Poisson Equation
Hi, I am working on FEM methods as a part of my senior year project and I have written a poisson solver for the same purpose.
