But that would mean there was no Big Bang, locatable in time, and everything just expanded, and always has been expanding, from an infinitely small space ? That would mean time would have no beginning. Please patiently correct me if I have misunderstood you.- bannerman100

Trying to respond to the original question: Premise 2: surely means that space (not the universe itself) is "flat" or "linear" not "curved".
