What properties do alpha helices and beta sheets impart to polypeptides?
Still working on steric clashes of amino acid functional groups. Can anyone explain the properties that either the alpha helix or the beta sheet impart to a polypeptide. Ok, so they are configurations within a complex molecule that provide stability to the structure, but do they impart any...- Ben Rodolico

Graduate Oppenheimer's QM lecture notes
although new to the forums.. l would love to have a copy, though l reside in Australia, Those lecture notes are the first introduction to QM... and everything since has been from those.- Ben Rodolico

Can Schrodinger's Equation predict steric clashes
What if, l construct a series of Schrödinger's equations, with the probability distribution when the two molecules are in steric hindrance at 1. I am currently looking at only the "active sites" of the proteins and enzymes. I will need the NASA super computer to do the calcs. :)- Ben Rodolico

Can Schrodinger's Equation predict steric clashes
Hi All: My name is Ben, and l am new to the forum. Currently doing a Med Degree, but already have an Engineering Degree and Masters. With all Schrödinger's equation is able to do, could it also predict and model the steric clashes of functional groups in multi domain proteins, or enzymes?- Ben Rodolico
