Defining Physicalness: Inviting Physicalists to Weigh In

Certaintly 'physical' is coherent with 'existence' in that both have to 'be' in order for truth and validity. To 'exist' is to be 'Finite' or measureable in form, whether its a thought, quark, etc. I don't beleve there is any way for this to not be true: Finite = existence = physical

    Is the universe examining itself?

Of course the universe is examining itself. The universe is quantum phenomena that make quantum measurements. When the quantum measurement is made, collapsed wave functions provide decoherence, the very essence of "existence," which is derived from interactions between these fundamental particles.

The Limitations of God's Power: Examining the Logic Paradox and Existence

This is the philosophy room, not mathematics (I didn't want to argue this). Transfinite arithmetic is not an ontological argument for infinities. To rely on transfinite arithmetic in support of the possibility of an actual infinity is to miss the point my answer, and ultimately, the question asked.

Is Ignorance Bliss? Examining The Giver's Society

I am brave enough to say that this scenario is wrong because it is impossible. There could never be an equalized, perfect, emotionless society, because society is not culprit. Why? Because the components of that society, the people with changing DNA sequences even among a non-changing...

The Limitations of God's Power: Examining the Logic Paradox and Existence

I believe God doesn't "exist", because God is Infinite. So, that also implies (for me) that Infinite doesn't "exist" either, but that's a different argument! Classically, the Infinite cannot be resolved by Finite measures(as you brought up). So in other words, the parsimonious fallacy I believe...

    Shouldn't we define 'Existence/Being'?

The most parsimonious definition of 'existence' can be found in the emergence of two worlds: the quantum realm of fundmental particles and superposition, and the classical world of actions. If 'consciousness' is determined by 'existence', then consciousness and life (both properties of forces)...

Graduate Zeno's Paradox of Motion:Thompson's Lamp Scenario

This question is probably so easy that I'm making it too complicated but here it is: "THOMPSON'S LAMP: Consider a lamp, with a switch. Hit the switch once, it turns it on. Hit it again, it turns it off. Let us imagine there is a being with supernatural powers who likes to play with this lamp...
