Gen question about work-energy principle
Hello, I am confused about this concept. Say, a truck drives up a slope. It decelerates as it ascends. I am required to find the total work done by the engine of the truck, and I know this to be: Work done=Gain in PE + Loss in KE + Work done against friction However I'm unsure whether the...- Boogeyman

Programs Help-A Degree Relevant To Outer Space
Thanks. I intend on applying to Uni of Toronto or some Uni in the UK (I don't want to do SATs lol). I understand that Physics/Astronomy is purely research, and that you won't start making any real money until you get a PhD. However I don't know if I like building things seeing I've only been...- Boogeyman

Programs Help-A Degree Relevant To Outer Space
Hello all. I'm sorry this is such a newbie question, and if there are threads similar please direct me to them. I live in the Caribbean. Anyways, its my last year in HS so I have to apply to a degree program. I know what I'm interested in, but I'm unsure from what angle to approach. I'm...- Boogeyman

Undergrad Investigating strength of relationship
By the way the correlation coefficient gives the relationship between the two...it ranges from -1 to 1. So imo 0.69 is pretty strong positive relationship. But this contradicts the independence suggested by the chi squared..- Boogeyman

Undergrad Investigating strength of relationship
I was assigned a project in Applied Math and I chose to investigate the strength of the relationship between Math and Physics. My scope of tests is still limited, so I decided to first do a chi squared test (to show independence) and then determine the product moment correlation coefficient...- Boogeyman

Living and working in a foreign country
I'm in the last 2 most important years of secondary school and I'm trying really hard for a scholarship. I intend to study in Canada, get a job and live there too. I was attracted to this idea because my country (Trinidad) has always repelled me due to the high prevalence of what I thought as...- Boogeyman

Build a High School Windmill for Your Science Fair | Simple Designs & Tips
I'm thinking about participating in a science fair competition and I need to build a windmill capable of generating electricity. I've looked on the Internet but all the designs and instructions I've found are kind of complicated.. Just so you have an idea of how complex we need the windmill...- Boogeyman

Ideas for a play on nuclear weapons
Ok I think I could do that Dave. But what kind of jobs do people working in bunkers have? Would there be like big shot scientists on site or just security and maintenance?- Boogeyman

Ideas for a play on nuclear weapons
Thanks guys. I'm not looking to get technical, I'm really just examining how the characters communicate with one another, but having a relevant scenario I feel is equally important. How about the states get hit by a nuke from a "ghost organisation"? Unlikely I'm sure but it is possible right.- Boogeyman

Ideas for a play on nuclear weapons
I have the reasons..the biggest is the world would be a safer place. Now I can't change my opinion because I already based most of my presentation around this perspective. Hmm how about I use my scene 1 and 2, where the is confrontation between the students (who are against) and the professor...- Boogeyman

Ideas for a play on nuclear weapons
MotoH that's a very good scenario. But it would be more suitable if I were trying to point out the importance of having nukes around...I'm trying to do the opposite. I would be undermining the premise of disarmament and my arguments.- Boogeyman
