During childhood, did you ever construct an electromagnet?

I learned that one should not plug a big capacitor in the power socket long before I knew what a capacitor was.

Imagine if he tried to bring the QM book.

Newton's Third Law and the Conservation of Momentum

Even If there is a net external force on the system and the momentum of the system changes the sum of the internal forces in the system is 0. I think the argument is a bit flawed. Also for a system with more then two bodies the condition that the vector sum of the internal forces is 0 does not...

Exploring Conservation of Momentum and Energy

No . They both follow from Newtons laws at the most basic level. Also note that Energy is a scalar quantity and momentum is a vector, so there is quite a bit of difference in the kind of information they provide.

A list of Physicist and their contributions

Hamilton, Lagrange, Boltzmann,Maxwell...Pauli ,Schwinger,Landau... You jumped from Newton to the first quantum guys and stopped there. What is this list for anyway?

Number of points in mesh (Comsol 4.3b)

You can see the number of elements by going mesh>statistics. You can also see the number of DOF in the messages tab when the simulation is running. The number of DOF tells you more about the speed of the simulation than the number of elements.

What is normal air pressure in N/cm^2?

A really easy way to see what a pressure difference means is to put your hand underwater. About 30-50cm deep is enough to sense the difference and it is only ~0.05atm.

The Physics of Vacuums: Understanding Force and Gravity

It is the atmospheric pressure that pushes the liquid up the straw.Since you reduce the pressure inside the straw the downward force on the liquid is only the force of gravity, the upward force due to pressure remains so the fluid goes up. If you try to do this with a very long straw you would...

Tesla is the greatest mind who ever lived

What I have seen is that most people that are so amazed by Tesla never heard of James Clerk Maxwell or Josiah Willard Gibbs.

Are We Becoming Too Dependent on Technology?

The loss of technology could only be the result of s global scale cataclysm that destroys most civilization. The question is how resilient is the human species to such an event. I think if the planet doesn't become completely uninhabitable and if even a small fraction of the global population...

I Need Some Possible Explanations, Please

Yes it is a very strange concept. I would still lock my door if I lived in a shack in the wildness. Assuming that lisab lives in a magical land it is probably a poop fairy.
