I read on the Mars One website that Bas Lansdorp (the director of Mars One) will talk about the design of their Martian habitats during the ISDC conference in San Diego, California next Thursday:

Don't be embarrassed, we all learn different things and at different speeds! Some of my classmates might be surprised that I don't know some basic things.
Think of it this way, a vertical slope is 100%, so a 45 degree slope would be 50%, and so on.
Thanks a lot!
It actually seems like a simple idea, I guess it just took me to see it from a different perspective before it clicked.
Integral Calculus here I come!
Funny,
I thought Linear Algebra was easier to grasp than Calculus. I guess it's because it's hard for me to visualize a mathematical concept (it took me a while to understand what a derivative is from a geometric point of view). With linear algebra you just take a system of linear equations...
In terms of "highest level" (more prerequisites) for me so far would be:
A course: Calculus 1 (differential calculus)
Self-study (Where I feel like I have a thorough understanding of the subject): Linear algebra and basic abstract algebra
I don't plan in taking anymore formal math courses...
Hi,
I've recently taken a Calculus 1 (Differential Calculus) course and I've been looking ahead to see what sort of material is covered in the Calculus 2 (Integral Calculus) course. I am wondering about the relationship between derivatives and integrals.
From what I understand, an integral...
