Calculating Nitrogen percentage in food products.

I have decided my next cause of action is to find out whether the packages have holes in them and this is the cause or to see whether the product has defects which are entrapping oxygen and then braking whilst within the packaging, releasing the oxygen. What do you think, are these possible...

Calculating Nitrogen percentage in food products.

sorry i forgot to mention that we have done this, my other guess is that there may be leakages in the pipe work

Calculating Nitrogen percentage in food products.

yes it is 100% nitrogen gas it is a test of how much is in the packaging, we measure the oxygen percentage in the pack by putting a prob with a seal through the package

Calculating Nitrogen percentage in food products.

I just thought I would ask some people's opinions about this as I am stuck on what to do. I am currently working for a food manufacturing company that pack their food with nitrogen gas to increase shelf life. However they have an acceptable limit of how much nitrogen can be within the...

Calculating Heat Loss from a Heat Exchanger

i know that the temperature of the water at the outlet will be found using: Tc0 = Tci + q/(m. Cp) I know the mass flow rate and Cp and the inlet temperature but i don't know q

Calculating Heat Loss from a Heat Exchanger

Thank you for the help so far, i didn't even think of mentioning these thinks, so here goes: The flow is perpendicular (so cross-flow). The fluids are both unmixed. I would like to take the steam condensation into account however it is not necessary. It is not a shell-tube hx its...

Calculating Heat Loss from a Heat Exchanger

Heat Exchanger! I have steam flowing past two pipes which have cold water flowing in them. I want to find out how much heat is lost from the cold water and thus the final temperature of the cold water when it leaves the pipe. I am doing this as an experiment and before I start I want to know...

    Imaginary Geometry in Control Systems

So it turns out that it was not too hard in the end, I was given a transfer function with a quadratic equation in the denominator and then asked to place it into partial fraction form. I was then asked to find the Laplace Transform of the function and as the roots of the quadratic were imaginary...

    Imaginary Geometry in Control Systems

So I have a control systems mid-semester exam coming up and the lecturer has posted up a formula sheet for us. However it is different to past years exams and has a geometry section with the following equations: e^(±jθ)=cos(θ)±jsin(θ) cos(θ)=(e^jθ+e^-jθ)/2 sin(θ)=(e^jθ-e^-jθ)/2j Now I've...

Calculating Change in Temp. with Steam & Cold Water Flow

Homework Statement Steam is passing a pipe that has cold water flowing through. I need to find the change in temperature from when the water enters the pipe to when it leaves the pipe. Homework Equations First i found the total thermal resistance using...
