Fuel Cell Collector: Optimizing Flow & Pressure
Hi, I haven't posted anything on here in a long time, but thought somebody here could help me out. I am building a fuel system for an endurance sports car. I have a sealed 0.6 gallon collector in the fuel cell with three 75gph pumps, capable of 95psi feeding it, through 3/8" hose. It then...- Camron201

Rotary Seal Ideas for PVC Pressure Housings Underwater
You may want to look into some motorcycle suspension seals. There are some internal seals that are made for small aluminum shafts, that have to hold high pressure fluid on both sides. Although they aren't really designed for a rotary use, they are very cheap and easy to get. Might be worth a try.- Camron201

Calculating Cam Gear Bolt Force: Formulas and Tips for Optimal Performance
The gear is on a centered dowel, then bolted to the cam. I am talking about sheer strength, not bolt torque. I want to figure out how much load is on the cam bolts from the crank via chain and valve spring back pressure. As I want to try some different bolts and bolts/patterns. I need the...- Camron201

Books on engine building or modification
Thanks Mender! I will look up the books by "blair", and start making a list of other ones to buy, based off your suggestions. A lot of people take for granted all the information there is theses days. But I know a little reading can go a long way and hope to take advantage of it.- Camron201

Books on engine building or modification
Thanks for your reply, I have "Four Stroke Performance tuning by A. Graham Bell", "Engine Air Flow", "Holley Carburator tuning", "The Racing Engine Builders Handbook", and "John B. Heywood's Fundamentals of the Internal Combustion Engine". I really like the Holley carb book, as it was easy to...- Camron201

Books on engine building or modification
I mostly work on off-road motorcycles for professional racers. I've been building slightly modified engines for a while, but I'm always wanting to learn. That's my main area of interest. Although I do have a 70 el camino and chevelle that I work on, both big block engines. I wouldn't mind...- Camron201

Automotive Are Chevy Cars Really That Unreliable?
I understand your idea of uneducated workers messing up the cars. But the uneducated ones are just busy workers, putting x part on over and over. The real problems come from bad design or mismanufactured parts. I really doubt these "not my job, lazy workers" are the reason for x brand of...- Camron201

Is an Intercooler Worth It for Naturally Aspirated Engines?
I will talk to the next racing event dean and see if it's illegal or not. We already use an aftermarket aluminium tank to have enough fuel to make it through the race. With a good design it could be done, but the fuel tank area is pretty cramped.- Camron201

Is an Intercooler Worth It for Naturally Aspirated Engines?
The bike uses a throttle body with the injector built in. We can move the whole throttle body slightly, but because of rules we can't change the injector type.- Camron201
