Why Do Time Intervals Differ in Motion Analysis Problems?
There something must be wrong with my eyes, because I "misread" the problem. It's sad though because I was trying to figure out where the times came from for a couple of days, and I finally saw "his average acceleration aavg in the time interval 2.00 min to 8.00 min?" It like miraculously...- cattalion

Why Do Time Intervals Differ in Motion Analysis Problems?
I still don't understand :frown: They do matter because I would need to use those values to find the average velocity. Wouldn't I subtract 10 - 5 minutes instead of 8 - 2 minutes since it says: "From t=0 to t=5.00 min... and from t=5.00 min to t=10.0 min..."?- cattalion

Why Do Time Intervals Differ in Motion Analysis Problems?
Homework Statement From t=0 to t=5.00 min, a man stands still, and from t=5.00 min to t=10.0 min, he walks briskly in a straight line at a constant speed of 2.20 m/s. What are (a) his average velocity vavg (v average) and (b) his average acceleration aavg in the time interval 2.00 min to 8.00...- cattalion
