Why is the earth constantly rotating, but we as humans can never feel it?

Indeed, relative motion is the key. To actually feel/see the difference between equatorial an polar Earth rotation speed, you need sensitive instruments like an accelerometers. Then rapid North-South motion will defiantly register on an East-West mounted accelerometer.

Is There Long-Term Value in the Continuation of Life?

cornernote You seem to be focusing on, survival = a reason for life. In addition to your list I propose that instead of survival of the individual, species there is survival of knowledge. i.e. even if it were certain that life could not survive the end of the universe, would the safe...

Can Insects Survive a Fall from Great Heights?

I would think an ant would not be able to reach a fatal terminal velocity, in our atmosphere. Dropping an ant on the moon however (suffocation excluded) and high enough, should kill the ant.

    Explanations to Cambrian Explosion.

There’s always an environment for the very small (too small to be seen). But I should point out the author is describing larger life in the Cambrian that gave rise to all the forms we see today, and intriguing range of evidences is presented. Was just wondering if this idea was given any merit.

Graduate A Hairy Ride - Motorcycle Physics

Been there done that. A “tank slapper” is the feared result of the steering forces in a ‘positive feedback’ situation. One way of reducing the onset is not to have a ‘death grip’ (with straight-ish elbows) on the handlebars as any slight road input feeds back to your body, moving it, which...

Why am I controlling this body? - The mysterys of DNA and consciousness

Yes, I would think so, most demonstrable is the possibility of being the opposite sex! You as an individual are the sum of your brain functions, damage some of those functions and your personality can change. You do not exist entirely just as a ‘program’ of DNA, the continually functioning...

What would happen if an astronaut took off suit in space?

Arthur C Clarke used that scenario in one of his short stories, for some reason passengers had to transfer to another spaceship through adjacent but not connectable air lock doors (also in 2001 a space odyssey). I don’t know what references the esteemed si fi author used but he is known for...

    Explanations to Cambrian Explosion.

Not sure how recent, but “in the blink of an eye” by Andrew Parker, poses an intriguing idea: at the start of the Cambrian 543 MYA, animals only possessed light sensors not eyes. By 538 MYA the eye evolved and everything changed. i.e. You could no longer hide as light penetrates the...
