Unfortunately too many employers also feel that the degree is the real source of value in an employee. When I got hired on at my current job, I didn't have a degree at all. Now I have an Associate's and I couldn't be hired on right now. It's absurd.

I work 40 hours and go to school full time. The thing that I don't like about it is that I have to drive 2.5-3 hours every day. If it weren't for all of the time on the road, it wouldn't be so bad. I'm a low energy person though. ;)

I have a copy of the brief edition on my bookshelf. I didn't go all of the way through either one, but I like my Larson/Hostetler/Edwards 7th Edition better.

Yeah, it kind of sucks. I wake up at 6:30am, drive an hour to school to get there around 8, go to class until 11 on MWF and 2:15 on TH. Then I drive an hour down to work to be there at 3:15, work 8.5 hours, drive 20 minutes home, do my homework, and go to sleep around 1 or 1:30am...

Are you studying on your own? If so, what materials are you using? Are you certain that you have a very solid foundation on the basics? I studied calc on my own, and while helpful, I later found that my zeal for wanting to advance and my neglect of rigorous study of the fundamentals later...
