Car AC Compressors: Speed Control & Temperature Regulation
"No. If the compressor clutch is not engaged, the compressor doesn't run. Only the pulley continues to be driven by the belt." Of course... "I'm not certain what effects the velocity of the refrigerant has on the rate of cooling. When there is an adequate amount of High Side pressure...- Charles123

Car AC Compressors: Speed Control & Temperature Regulation
Thank you for your answer. "The minimum engine idle speed (RPM) is high enough to allow proper operation of the compressor. The 'click' you hear as a car is running with the A/C on is the compressor clutch engaging and disengaging to either build up pressure (the high side pressure...- Charles123

Car AC Compressors: Speed Control & Temperature Regulation
Thank you for your answer. So in belt driven compressors their speed is not controlled, there is just an on/off switching as needed, doesn’t matter the engine rpm? The temperature is just controlled by this plus the mixture of air that passes through the evaporator and air that does not...- Charles123

Car AC Compressors: Speed Control & Temperature Regulation
How is the compressor speed controlled in a car air conditioner, in compressors driven by engine moved belts? Is temperature controlled just by on/of of the solenoid clutch? Electric air conditioner (automotive), not driven by (directly) by engine, is widely used today? Another question, not...- Charles123

Fiberglass degradation by salt water
Thank you for your answer. I should think that the effect of the sun is due to UV degradation of the plastic coating. Am I right? If so washing doesn`t help, isn't this the case? As for the layer of oxidation, what oxides is the plastic coating, is that it? Wouldn’t it be possible to use some...- Charles123

Fiberglass degradation by salt water
People always wash their fiberglass boats, the part above water obviously. I was thinking if there is really a need for it? What is suitable to degradation, the plastic matrix, or the fibers of glass? And how does salt water promotes that degradation? Thank you Regards- Charles123

Medical Radial Artery harvesting for bypass surgery
Radial Artery harvesting is becoming and more and more used as an option for bypass surgery. I have read that there is an increase in the risk of pour tissue oxygenation, which of course makes sense. You can read more in - http://lib.tmd.ac.jp/jmd/5202/01_manabe.pdf, where it is also referred...- Charles123

Undergrad Calculating Maximum Dive Depth: Tips for Cliff Divers | Get the Facts Here!
Sophiecentaur, thank you for your answer. Two things come to mind, first is the problem with the buoyant force that will not be constant, because the volume of the body will decrease with depth because of compression; second, the way in enter water is important for hydrodynamic resistance, so...- Charles123

Undergrad Calculating Maximum Dive Depth: Tips for Cliff Divers | Get the Facts Here!
How can one calculate the maximum depth a diver (jumping to water, like cliff diving) reaches if he stays in the same position that he used when entering the water, and does nothing to stop more quickly? Thank you Regards- Charles123

Medical Understanding Air Embolus and Blood Circulation
How does an air embolus restrict the passage of blood? I understand that air bubbles clog smaller arteries, surface tension with insufficient time/surface area through which to dissolve, air bubbles maintain themselves, but they are pushed trough, aren`t they? So why don’t they just eventually...- Charles123

Why do laptop transformer sizes vary so much?
I understood your explanation, I was just comenting the diference in sized because you wrote - "There isn't too much variation in physical size.". Thank you again Regards- Charles123

Why do laptop transformer sizes vary so much?
Thank you for your answer. But actually, and just as an example my Toshiba Qosmio x770, has a transformer twice as big and tree times heavier that my ASUS… none of them is more than 2 years old.- Charles123

Why do laptop transformer sizes vary so much?
Why laptops transformer size varies so much? Also, the little cylinder right next to the cable connector to the laptop is there to avoid that the laptop works as an antenna? How does that work? Thank you Regards- Charles123
