Finding the Ratio of Electron to Proton Speed in Beta Decay
I'll try to help you out a bit: Basically, since the electron and proton are breaking apart and flying in different directions, you must think about what is conserved. The immediate answer should be momentum. MeVe=MpVp Note you're looking for the ratio of the speed of the electron to...- chuck_

IUPAC Naming Rules: 2,5-Dichlorobenzene
Eh, the above poster is a little off. IUPAC dictates you start at the closest carbon to the substituants. Cl in this case, so all you do is number the chlorines making sure that Cl is at carbon one, and (it doesn't apply in this situation) that any other substitutants would be in their lowest...- chuck_

What Average Speed is Required for the Car in a 24km Journey?
Just looked at your first post, and you had the method right. You made a trivial mistake in calculating the total time. It's Vavg= D/T or 22= 24 / T which means T= 24/22 or 1.09 something. Might as well ignore my above post because you got it right besides that :)- chuck_

What Average Speed is Required for the Car in a 24km Journey?
Read my second post first, but for other people's purpose I'll leave this. Just stopping by these forums for some reason, but it looks like you need some help. I will go through it conceptually for you, and then give you some equations. First we have to remember what we are looking for. We...- chuck_
