Engineering Help with magnetic field forces in a motor
Thanks! I think I'm going to go with a more accessible problem for me. Just going to deal with a torque force on the ship's pivot point when the rudder is applied in a certain angle, will fit with the scenario and be easier to create a problem for it :)- CMW328i

Engineering Help with magnetic field forces in a motor
Ah yes, that makes more sense, now that I've slept! If you have a way of setting up a problem like this, I'd certainly love to see it. My skills are in the computation, my lack of knowledge of the inner workings of a motor are my weakness, but I'm required to put these things in real-world...- CMW328i

Engineering Help with magnetic field forces in a motor
Hi all, Not a question about completing homework here, but I'm a teacher looking to create a realistic engineering question for an assignment. I have an engineering scenario I've set for the assignment which is a junior engineer working for a marine engineering company so all of the questions...- CMW328i

Noise Modelling - Digital communication systems
Hi all, Teacher here looking for some guidance. I'm teaching a class that I took myself a few years back, and I'm looking at my solution to a problem but I have a random value in my answer (which I know to be correct) but I can't for the life of me remember where this value came from! Can anyone...- CMW328i

Suitable metal for flooring in an industrial lift + power
Hi, I have no idea what the spread of the load is, it isn't specified. I designed the frame to cope with a point load of 3000kg at the farthest point from where it is connected to the rack and pinion rail because of this. I've found an alternative material to expanded metal for the flooring...- CMW328i

Suitable metal for flooring in an industrial lift + power
Thanks for that! I had no idea what "expanded metal" meant until i just googled it! It helps if you have a teacher who would explain these kinds of things! The guy teaching this module was in serious trouble last year and nearly costed my group our HNCs for not covering all the learning...- CMW328i

Suitable metal for flooring in an industrial lift + power
Hi all, first post here. I'm currently faced with an assignment in a class where we really haven't been taught anything and have to figure it out on our own. We've been asked to design an industrial lift system to raise approximately 3000 kg up 25 stories. I have done a lot of research and...- CMW328i
