I think it really all depends on the person, and one cannot use age as a factor because if I graduate in the standard four years I'll only be 20

I am in a similar situation right now. I would suggest getting an undergraduate degree in Physics and then you could go to grad school for either physics or engineering. The engineering grad schools I have seen accept physics degrees.

Is PHYS 1100 Physics for Non-majors? If so my girlfriend, education major, took that sort of course and received an A. I say this because she is not particularly good at math or science, but said the class was easy.

I had a professor who could do that in pre-calc. He had a doctorate in secondary education, but his only math background was a minor.
