Graduate How can Sine Integrals be calculated using polynomial representations?

try integration by parts...that is usefull for evaluating an integral composed of two fuctions, in this case, your first integral include the fuctions \sin {x} and \frac {\11}{x} and your second integral includes e^x and x^2 Remember, integration by parts formula yeilds: {u}{v} -...

Undergrad Is the function continuous at x=2 in f(x)= (x^2-4)/(x-2)?

f(c) must exist limit of f(x) as x approaches c must exist limit of f(x) as x approaches c must equal f(c) you were confusing continuity with the properties of one-sided limits that states if the right hand limit equals the left hand limit, then the limit as a whole exsists.

Solving Spring Problem w/ Mass of 65.0kg & Force of 775N

a little drawing goes a long way. Just had to use the force of weight, find the distance using hookes law, and throw that into the elastic potential energy formula. Thanks!

Solving Spring Problem w/ Mass of 65.0kg & Force of 775N

ok, maybe i am missing something here with this problem and it is probably really simple, but here it is: A force of 775N stretches a certain spring a distance of 0.200m. What is the potential energy of the spring when a mass of 65.0kg hangs vertically from it? I have tried conservation of...
