Undergrad Can the expansion of the Universe reduce the energy of a photon to 0?
Is it theoretically possible for the expansion of the universe to red-shift the energy of a photon all the way to zero? If so, what happens to the photon? Or does the photon's energy only approach zero as an asymptote?- DaveBeal
