Programs Double major in physics and math vs physics degree?

Hi, I'm just 2 semesters short of graduating and I'm currently in specialization in physics program (Bsc). Over the years I have taken more math courses than physics (due to interest) and as a result, I can change my program to double major in physics and math. From employability point of view...

Courses Should I take geometry or graph theory for elective?

Its did not say that was the entire reason of why I would take either of these courses. I really love math that's why I choose them over other science electives. What I meant was that I would prefer a course which is less rigorous proof wise.

Courses Should I take geometry or graph theory for elective?

I just want something easy to boost my gpa and these are my two options. The geometry course is euclidean not topological. Thanks

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it'll be stupid to repeat my mistakes again. I'm going to look closely at everything and figure out what went wrong. Also, I'm going to quit my job and focus on school. I have 4 semesters to improve my grade and luckily in Canada they look at the last 4 semesters'...

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

Yeah, it was hard for sure. I wanted some more time to understand einstein solids and be clear about multiplicity of states. I know I ****ed up. I just don't want to give up on the thought of graduate school.

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

I'm pretty good at math. I didn't have any problems with math. I was more surprised by getting a C- in physics lab

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

Yes, i'll work on it. Do you think I can still make it to grad school after a bad sem? i love physics, it can be overwhelming but still.

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

I did refer to extra books. I didn't invent problems for myself. I gave myself 2 days to understand the material from books and if I wasn't understanding it , i went to the professor. Sometimes I did read chapters before going to lectures- I'm going to do it everyday now. I didn't form study...

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

For thermodynamics, I did all the assignments, midterm, and sample final without looking at the solutions. Then I went back to solutions for problems I couldn't solve. I studied notes every day for different classes. I went to professor during office hours to understand what I couldn't on my...

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

I'm sorry I;m just taking the hit really hard. This is what I'm going to do: I'm going to talk to my professor once the break is over to see where I went wrong for the lab report because I'll be taking classical experiments this semester and I don't want to repeat my mistakes. I was definitely...

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

I working during the semester too. I think i need to give more time to physics. I wasn't really interested in thermodynamics and I'm not sure what i did wrong in the lab. I got really bad grade in the formal lab which was supposed to be written like a research paper. I followed the template and...

Bad Gpa- Worked really hard this semester

Hi guys, I feel like a failure and I am miserable. I got two/five grades back. For physics lab, I got a C- and for thermodynamics I got a C. I worked really hard this semester, but I have failed. I put everything aside for studies, yet I am in misery. My aim is to get into graduate school, the...

How can I manage the pressure of maintaining a high GPA in my honors program?

I completely agree with you. Grades do not completely reflect the intellectual capability of an individual but they still give an indication of work ethic, etc. I'm not obessed with gpa but I don't want to get outta my program. That's the only reason for stress.

How can I manage the pressure of maintaining a high GPA in my honors program?

My marks are on par with class average. Most of the people in my class are not in honors program, so they need a 2.3/4.0 to stay in their program. The root cause of stress is getting kicked out of the honors program. Yes, the reason for low marks were some silly mistakes and I'm improving...

How can I manage the pressure of maintaining a high GPA in my honors program?

Hi, I'm a physics honors student at a pretty good university and this semester I haven't done well on my midterms. Its not that I have failed any, but I'm sitting at average marks for all of my exams except for one where I'm one standard deviation lower. I really want to get above a 3.0/4.0 this...
