Here you say 2 phases of the high voltage power supply are connected to the transformer and further down the post someone quotes that one leg is attached to the transformer (assuming the other side is hooked up to earth). Which one is correct or can it be done either way? what would be the point...

hmm i don't understand why the voltage at the neutral side of the plug is zero i thought that the voltage is pushing back and forth from the Earth if there's a load on the plug

why do you get a electrical shock from touching a neutral wire on a plug that has a load on it but back at the panel if you touch the neutral bar you do not get a shock

thanks that makes total sense to me that the middle would be 0 volts. So would they light up and work without taping into the middle of the two lights. So am i correct and the electrican that i mentioned before that said it woudn't work wrong?
