Undergrad Solve for a constant in an equation
Im trying to solve for a constant in an equation and it involves taking the arctanh(6.55) and my calculator is giving me an error, is there a way around this?- Dean Whaley

Graduate Can a 4D shape exist in our universe?
Yes, that makes sense. Now, do you think that our universe could be a 4 dimensional shape (not 3D and curve)?- Dean Whaley

Graduate Can a 4D shape exist in our universe?
Can a 4 spacially dimensional shape exist in our 3 spacially dimensional universe? Could one exist and we just cannot perceive like a 2D animal could think it lives on a flat plane yet it actually lives on a sphere or donut shape? And could our universe be a 4 spacially dimensional shaped?- Dean Whaley

Undergrad A question about Black Holes and their Gravity
I think that is correct because in F =(Gm1m2/d^2) d would be a lot smaller, which would produce a much larger gravitation force from this new small mountain planet- Dean Whaley

Undergrad A question about Black Holes and their Gravity
Are you saying that the distance between the center of the star and an outside object has been reduced because the radius of the star is now almost 0 compared to when it was alive and well and its radius was somewhere around 400 million km? Therefore in the equation F= (Gm1m2/d^2), d could...- Dean Whaley

Undergrad A question about Black Holes and their Gravity
So I understand that as a star begins to die, and begins fusion of H, He, C, O... it eventually reaches Fe which cannot be fused to create energy. Then the stars own gravity overcomes it's outward radiation and the star implodes, and eventually a black hole is created. How can the star's...- Dean Whaley
